From the Governor's latest Zoom Update: 

OVERVIEW 

  • 2.87% overall statewide positivity rate
  • 57 deaths
  • 4,536 hospitalizations, down 88
  • 934 ICU patients, down 20
  • 590 intubations, down 11
  • Governor said numbers are now down below holiday surge. 

VACCINATIONS 

  • 7,121,844 total doses administered.
  • The Governor thanked NY Yankees and NY Mets for assisting with mass vaccination sites. 

REOPENING 

  • Statewide travel for sports can begin March 29.
  • Outdoor performing arts venues with 2,500 capacity can open April 1 at 20% capacity.
  • Professional sports venues can open April 1. Indoor venues can open at 10% capacity, outdoor venues can open at 20% capacity, both with testing required. 

The Governor’s Office also released the following Executive Order:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Permits indoor dining to resume at 75%, outside of NYC, starting March 19.
  • Permits indoor dining to resume at 35% in NYC starting March 19.
  • Effective March 19 all providers other than pharmacies may vaccinate any person eligible.
