OVERVIEW 

  • 1.43% statewide positivity rate
  • 110,541 tests conducted
  • 2,016 hospitalizations
  • 27 fatalities
  • 493 ICU patients
  • 301 intubations

  • Finger Lakes: 2.72%
  • Western NY: 2.43%
  • Southern Tier: 0.65%
  • Central NY: 1.18%
  • Mid Hudson: 1.43%
  • NYC: 1.25%
  • Long Island: 1.27%
  • Mohawk Valley: 1.48%
  • Capital Region: 1.46%
  • North Country: 2.02%
  • Brooklyn: 1.45%
  • Staten Island: 1.46%
  • Bronx: 1.35%
  • Queens: 1.33%
  • Manhattan: 0.73% 

VACCINATIONS

  • Vaccination rate: 16.8 million total shots in arms.
        - 9.6 million people have received at least one shot (60.2%)
        - 7.8 million people are fully vaccinated (48.9%)
  • 24.7% of people ages 16-25 have received a vaccine.
  • SUNY and CUNY boards will require vaccinations for all in-person students this Fall.
  • The Governor encouraged private schools to do the same & proposed a law to stop discrimination against vaccinated individuals.
  • Free 7-day metro cards for everyone vaccinated at a subway station.
  • The residency requirement will be lifted for vaccines. 

REOPENING

  • The Islanders are going to the playoffs, tickets go on sale tomorrow.
  • 50% of sales for vaccinated people, 50% for unvaccinated people.

The Governor’s Office also released the following Executive Order:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Allows for indoor dining in NYC at 75%.
  • Extends E.O. 202 and successor E.O.s until June 5, 2021.
